श्री सरस्वती Saraswati
The goddess of knowledge, music, and arts — worshipped on Vasant Panchami.
About Saraswati in the brass tradition.
Saraswati — the goddess of knowledge, music, arts, wisdom, and learning — is most commonly depicted seated on a white lotus (or swan/peacock — her vahana), playing a veena (stringed instrument). She holds sacred books in one hand and a mala (prayer beads) in another. White clothing and white lotus petals are traditional symbols. Saraswati is the consort of Brahma.
Worship context.
Saraswati is central to Vasant Panchami (her birthday, in January-February), Basant Utsav, and academic-year worship in schools and colleges. She is also worshipped alongside Lakshmi and Ganesh during Diwali (as part of the Lakshmi-Ganesh-Saraswati triplet).

Caring for your Saraswati brass idol.
Saraswati idols should be kept dry and away from direct sunlight (which can tarnish the gold polish over years). Dust with a soft dry cloth weekly. If used in study area, position away from water cups to prevent splash marks.
