Shipping Policy

1. Shipping coverage
We ship wholesale brass idol orders across India (all 28 states and 8 union territories). For international export inquiries (US, UK, UAE, etc.), contact us at hello@deshna.in for a custom quotation including HS code 8306, freight, and documentation.
2. Courier partners
We ship via:
- Delhivery — primary partner, full PAN-India coverage
- DTDC — for Tier-2/3 cities and consignment rates
- Blue Dart — for time-sensitive orders and air freight
- Indian Post (Speed Post) — for remote/rural pin codes where private couriers don't reach
- Transporter / Tempo — for large palletised orders (50+ kg)
You may nominate your own courier; in that case we hand over packed goods at our facility and the transit risk passes to your nominated carrier.
3. Transit times (after dispatch)

These are estimates; actual transit may vary during peak season (Diwali, Navratri) or due to weather/force-majeure events.
4. Packaging standards
Each brass idol is packed with:
- Soft cloth / foam wrap on the surface to prevent scratches
- Bubble wrap / air pillow for shock absorption
- Double-walled corrugated cardboard box (5-ply for orders above 5 kg)
- "Fragile — Brass Idol" sticker on all faces
- Master carton for multi-piece orders (grouped by design)
Wooden crating is available for export orders and large domestic shipments at extra cost.
5. Shipping charges
Shipping is billed at cost on the invoice, based on:
- Volumetric or actual weight (whichever is higher)
- Destination pin code
- Courier partner selected
- Any insurance opted for
Approximate domestic rates (subject to change):
- Up to 5 kg: ₹200–₹500
- 5–15 kg: ₹500–₹1,200
- 15–50 kg: ₹1,200–₹3,500
- 50+ kg: quote on request (transporter rates apply)
6. Tracking
Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking link via WhatsApp / SMS / email within 24 hours. Track the consignment on the respective courier's portal.
7. Delivery attempts
Couriers typically attempt delivery 2–3 times. If delivery fails due to an incorrect address, unavailability, or refusal, the consignment is returned to us at the buyer's cost. Re-dispatch is billed separately.
8. International shipping
For export orders:
- HS code: 8306 (other base-metal statuettes and ornaments)
- Documentation: Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, fumigation certificate (for wood packing), airway bill / bill of lading
- Incoterms: typically FOB Mumbai / CIF destination port (as agreed)
- Customs duties, GST on exports (LUT required), and destination-country import duties are the buyer's responsibility
