Overview

How our wholesale price list is structured.

A wholesale price list for brass idols is a moving target. The metal itself is a commodity — the brass rate on the London Metal Exchange (LME) or the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) moves daily, and our castings are priced off the prevailing brass rate on the day your order is confirmed. Add to that the variables that affect each piece individually (weight, finish, size, complexity, custom-mould work) and the answer to "what does a brass idol cost at wholesale" is always "it depends, and the price list I share today will be different from the one I share tomorrow". This page explains how our pricing is structured, what drives the per-piece cost, the tier brackets we offer at wholesale volumes, and how to request the current price list at the current brass rate. We do not publish prices on this page because they move with the brass rate — we share the live price list privately with qualified buyers on WhatsApp after a quick conversation.

How our wholesale pricing is structured

Our wholesale pricing has four layers. The first layer is the raw-material cost — the brass content of the piece priced at the prevailing brass rate on the day your order is confirmed. The second layer is the casting labour and the workshop overhead — this is fixed per piece but scales down per piece as the piece gets larger (because the mould-making and finishing time is comparable regardless of size). The third layer is the finish — natural brass is the base cost, antique adds a small percentage, gold polish adds more, and design-grade finishes (verdigris, smoked, champagne, mirror) add the most. The fourth layer is the per-order discount — the tiered bracket you qualify for based on the volume of the order.

The price you pay is the sum of those four layers. The base raw-material cost moves with the brass rate; the casting, finish, and tier layers are stable. So when the brass rate moves up 10%, a piece that was ₹1,000 yesterday becomes ₹1,060 today — the casting, finish, and tier components do not change. We update the price list weekly to reflect the prevailing brass rate; orders confirmed in a given week are priced at that week's rate.

We do not publish live prices on the website because they move with the brass rate. Send your indicative order on WhatsApp and we will share the current price list at the current brass rate within a few hours.

What drives the per-piece cost

Six variables move the per-piece cost. Understanding them helps you optimise your order for the best tier price and the most appropriate finish for your market.

Weight (kg per piece)

Weight is the primary driver of raw-material cost. A 12-inch seated Lakshmi in our standard catalog weighs 1.6–2.0 kg; a 24-inch piece weighs 6.5–8.5 kg; a 36-inch piece weighs 16–22 kg. Doubling the linear dimension cubes the volume and roughly cubes the weight — so a 36-inch piece costs much more than twice what a 24-inch piece costs.

Size (linear dimension)

Independent of weight, size affects casting complexity. A larger piece needs a larger mould, a longer pour time, and more careful finishing. Above 24 inches we charge a "large-format surcharge" that covers the additional mould-handling and finishing labour.

Finish

Natural brass is the base cost. Antique brass (controlled oxidation, then sealed) adds a small percentage. Gold polish (brass lacquer over a polished surface) adds more. The four design-grade finishes — verdigris, smoked brass, champagne brass, polished mirror — add 12–25% over the base antique or gold-polish rate.

Custom-mould work

Standard catalog designs use moulds we already own — there is no mould fee. Custom designs (a new deity, a specific pose, a non-standard size) need a fresh mould, and the mould fee is ₹45,000–₹1,20,000 depending on size and complexity. The mould is owned by us and stored in our workshop; you do not pay to store it. The mould fee is typically waived for orders above 100 pieces of the same custom design.

Order tier (volume discount)

Orders above certain volume tiers unlock additional percentage discounts off the per-piece price. The tier brackets are detailed in the next section.

Packaging and shipping

Standard packaging (corrugated carton with foam inserts) is included for orders up to a certain size. Above that, we charge for the crate and the foam — the cost depends on the destination and the order volume. Multi-address shipping (typical for corporate programmes) adds a per-address fee beyond the first destination.

Tiered wholesale brackets — discount bands

Our wholesale tier brackets apply to a single shipment and stack with finish upgrades. The discounts below are the standard bands we offer at the time of writing (August 2026); the live bands are shared on the current price list. All percentages are off the per-piece base price at the prevailing brass rate.

Wholesale tier brackets — discount bands by order volume
Order volume (pieces) Discount vs. retail Lead time (after artwork approval) Notes
10–49 pieces 5% 5–7 days Standard catalog only, single design or mixed
50–99 pieces 12% 7–14 days Mix up to 3 designs, single finish
100–249 pieces 18% 14–21 days Mix up to 5 designs, finish upgrades permitted
250–499 pieces 24% 21–28 days Mix up to 8 designs, all finishes available
500–999 pieces 30% 28–35 days Custom packaging options, dedicated dispatcher
1000+ pieces 35% 35–45 days Bespoke moulds permitted, engraving permitted

Tier discounts are calculated on the total pieces in a single shipment. If your programme is split across two drops (e.g. 500 pieces for Diwali and 500 for New Year), each shipment is priced independently at its own bracket. If you want the cumulative discount applied across the programme, ask for a multi-drop proposal when you send the enquiry.

How to request the current price list

We share the current wholesale price list privately on WhatsApp after a quick conversation to qualify the enquiry. The qualification is brief — we want to confirm you are a wholesale buyer (retail shop, online seller, temple supplier, interior designer, or corporate gifting programme), understand your indicative order volume, and know which deities and finishes interest you. None of this is intrusive; it takes about five minutes over WhatsApp.

Once qualified, we share the current price list as a PDF — typically within a few hours of the qualification conversation. The PDF is the price list at the current brass rate and includes all standard catalog designs, all finish options, the tier brackets above, the GST treatment, and the payment terms. The price list is for the buyer's internal use; we ask that it is not forwarded or to other wholesale buyers.

  • Step 1 — Send a WhatsApp with your business name, city, and the kind of orders you typically handle (retail, gifting, temple, export, interior)
  • Step 2 — Share the deities and finishes you are most interested in, and an indicative volume per order
  • Step 3 — We respond with the current price list PDF at the current brass rate, within a few hours
  • Step 4 — You place your first order; we confirm at the price list rate on the day of order confirmation

GST implications — input tax credit and invoicing

Brass idols fall under HSN code 7419.99 (other articles of copper, other) for GST purposes in India. The applicable GST rate is 12% CGST + 12% SGST for intra-state transactions or 24% IGST for inter-state transactions. Our tax invoices carry the buyer's GSTIN (when registered), the HSN code, the unit price, the CGST / SGST or IGST split as applicable, and the supplier's GSTIN — all of which the buyer's GST auditor needs to verify the input tax credit (ITC) claim.

Buyers registered under GST can typically claim ITC on the GST paid on the brass idol purchase, provided the idols are used for the buyer's business activity (resale, gifting programme, temple supply, interior design project). The treatment varies slightly by state and by the buyer's GST registration category — we recommend the buyer confirm with their tax team before placing the order. We are happy to coordinate directly with the buyer's chartered accountant if there is any ambiguity about how a particular order should be invoiced.

For buyers registered under Composition Scheme under GST, the ITC on purchases is blocked — the GST paid on our invoice becomes a cost to the buyer rather than a credit. If this is your situation, send a message on WhatsApp and we will work with you on the invoice treatment.

Payment terms and order confirmation

Standard payment terms for wholesale orders: 50% advance at order confirmation, 50% balance against photograph of finished goods before dispatch. For repeat buyers (3+ orders, 6+ months relationship) we offer 30% advance + 70% balance against dispatch. For established relationships (12+ orders, 12+ months) we offer net-30 credit terms with a signed credit agreement.

Order confirmation locks the price list rate at the prevailing brass rate on the day of confirmation. If the brass rate moves more than 5% between order confirmation and dispatch (which happens in volatile metal markets), we reserve the right to re-price the order — but in practice this is rare and we typically absorb small movements to keep the buyer relationship stable. If a re-pricing is required, we notify the buyer in writing before dispatch and offer the option to proceed at the new rate or to defer the dispatch.

Payment terms — by buyer relationship length
Buyer history Advance Balance Credit terms
New buyer (first order) 50% 50% against photo-before-dispatch None
Repeat buyer (3+ orders) 30% 70% against dispatch None
Established (12+ orders) 20% 80% against invoice Net-30 with credit agreement
Distributor / standing order Quarterly settlement Per shipment Net-30, distributor pricing
FAQ

Wholesale Price List — frequently asked questions.

Why do you not publish live wholesale prices on the website?
Because brass is a commodity and our prices move with the prevailing brass rate on the day an order is confirmed. Publishing a fixed price list would be misleading — the price you see today will not be the price you pay tomorrow if the brass rate has moved. We share the current price list privately on WhatsApp after a brief qualification conversation so that the price you see reflects the current brass rate, your tier bracket, and the finishes and sizes you are actually ordering.
What is the MOQ for wholesale pricing?
The wholesale tier kicks in at 10 pieces per design. Below 10 pieces we charge standard retail. The 10-piece tier unlocks a 5% discount; tiers scale up to 35% at 1,000+ pieces. Tiers are calculated per shipment, not cumulatively across a year. For a multi-shipment programme where the cumulative volume would cross into a higher tier, ask for a multi-drop proposal and we will apply the cumulative discount across the drops.
How often does the price list update with the brass rate?
We update the price list weekly to reflect the prevailing brass rate. Orders placed and confirmed within a given week are priced at that week's rate. If the brass rate moves more than 5% between order confirmation and dispatch (rare), we notify the buyer in writing and offer the choice to proceed at the new rate or to defer dispatch.
What HSN code and GST rate apply to wholesale brass idol purchases?
Brass idols fall under HSN code 7419.99 (other articles of copper, other). The applicable GST rate is 12% CGST + 12% SGST for intra-state transactions and 24% IGST for inter-state transactions. Our invoices carry the buyer's GSTIN, the HSN code, the unit price, and the CGST / SGST or IGST split as applicable — all the information the buyer's GST auditor needs to verify the ITC claim.
Can I claim input tax credit on a wholesale brass idol purchase?
Yes, in most cases — if the buyer is registered under regular GST and the idols are used for the buyer's business activity (resale, gifting programme, temple supply, interior design project), ITC on the GST paid can typically be claimed. The treatment varies slightly by state and by buyer's GST category — confirm with your tax team. For buyers registered under Composition Scheme, ITC is blocked and the GST paid becomes a cost. We coordinate with your CA if there is any ambiguity.
What are the standard payment terms?
Standard for new buyers: 50% advance at order confirmation, 50% balance against photograph of finished goods before dispatch. For repeat buyers (3+ orders, 6+ months): 30% advance + 70% balance against dispatch. For established relationships (12+ orders, 12+ months): 20% advance + 80% balance against invoice, with the option of net-30 credit terms under a signed credit agreement.
Do you offer credit terms for new wholesale buyers?
No — credit terms are reserved for repeat and established relationships. A new wholesale buyer starts with the 50/50 advance + balance-before-dispatch terms. After the first order ships and is accepted, we offer 30/70 for the next order. Credit terms (net-30) become available after 12+ orders and 12+ months of relationship, with a signed credit agreement and a credit check.
